Goccomatic
Out of the Blueprint is excited to announce our new project – Goccomatic – DIY garment printing at Abbeymount Studios.
Goccomatic allows artists to print their own T-shirts, tote bags and other garments using the sustainable Gocco print process. We run inductions sessions every Saturday with studio access on Fridays.
Leith Folk & Lore
Based on a set of local folktales from the area, Leith Folk & Lore is a celebration and showcase of Leith’s vibrant history and culture from both past and present. Using bold and explorative risograph printing techniques, Morvern has lifted these stories off the paper and brought them to life in the form of sculptural puppets and 3D installations. The exhibition will aim to bring folk together, Leithers and non locals alike, and show them something new about our proud part of the city.
UnProcessed
We’re delighted to present UnProcessed, a new body of work created by Celeste John-Wood during her time as artist in residence. Using her interest in urban ecologies as a starting point for image making, Celeste gathered inspiration from commons and shared spaces, visualising links, knots, fences and connections.
Forgeries – Maria Stoian
Comics artist Maria Stoian dips into autobiographical narrative with her work in progress, Forgeries. Maria explores her relationship with her late father, Alex; traversing his life, illness and death, the process of her own coming out, her grief, and the way art has always tied them together.
