SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN FOR ZINE-MAKERS AND COMIC ARTISTS

Got an idea for a zine, comic or publication? To mark the Year of Young People, Out of the Blueprint are looking for 10 people aged 13-24 who want to get their ideas, artwork or stories out into the world.

We are looking to commission 10 publications by Scottish-based young artists, illustrators and comic makers to launch at the Edinburgh Comic Art Festival in late November 2018.

We’ll cover all print costs, support you through the print process and help you reach new audiences. Each artist will receive 50 copies of their booklet to sell themselves, and we will distribute another 50 through our web store, print stalls and at our studio.

Each publication will be produced using our risograph printer using up to 2 ink colours.

We will host a studio visit for successful makers on Saturday 22 September to demonstrate the riso process and how best to prepare your files, with a further opportunity to get involved in the printing of your publication if you want to get stuck in.
