Hi everyone, hope you're well and staying safe. We wanted to give you a quick update from the Blueprint team.
Firstly, we are still here! Although the Drill Hall is currently closed to the public, the RISO is still running, and we will continue to offer sustainable print for local organisations, artists and self-publishers. And as always, we are committed to supporting young artists however we can.
We are currently working from our studio – with a host of new safety precautions – and we're looking at ways to adjust our operations to ensure the safety of customers, the wellbeing of our staff, and continuation of the social enterprise. Like a lot of you, we've had big plans for this year that are now looking a little more uncertain. We really appreciate your patience in this unusual time while we work out possibilities for the coming months.
In the meantime, below is the latest update from the Out of the Blue Board via our website:
“In line with the UK Government and Scottish Government advice, with immediate effect, our premises are closed to members of the public until further notice. Our first priority is to the health, safety and well-being of resident artists, our staff and the communities we serve. The Board of Trustees of Out of the Blue would like to reassure our resident artists and staff that we will honour our existing commitments despite the severe circumstances.
“Out of the Blue will now look closely at sustaining and developing our existing business model in the fast changing circumstances, in discussion with resident artists, staff, funders and stakeholders. The organisation remains firmly committed to playing its part in supporting socially excluded and vulnerable individuals and communities, despite the present situation.”
We'd like to thank you for your continued support, and look forward to working with you on your next print project – whenever you're ready.
Take good care,
Johnny and Bethany
