Out of the Blueprint are delighted to announce that, as part of our creative programme, and marking 2018 as the Year of Young People, we’re seeking applications from young artists for two artist print based residencies this winter/spring. The residencies are available to Scottish based artists, aged 24 years old or under. Each residency takes place over two months and provides the artist with a workspace, access to the Riso and Gocco machines, a fee and budget for materials; as well as an opportunity to exhibit work in progress within The Drill Hall.

There’s nothing more exciting than getting a new ink colour to play with! This is the one you’ve all been waiting for - we’ve had a lot of requests for a fluorescent pink, so here it is. Just like our fluorescent orange, this ink is unique to the riso process - you can’t get these kind of colours with CMYK.
Print Jam is a monthly celebration of all things print. On the first Saturday of each month, we invite young artists to meet up, make things and get printing. With workshops and activities throughout the day, we want to help you make zines, comics, illustration and art!
Print Jam is part of our year long programme of print activity for young people under 25 years old. Over the year of 2018, Out of the Blueprint is hosting residencies for young artists, co-ordinating exhibitions, and developing and delivering a programme of workshops, educational projects and monthly print events. This year long programme of activity is supported by The National Lottery via Creative Scotland.
